Lunar Energy and Mood Forecast
Week Commencing December 28, 2020
*all times and dates are AEST
It’s a Full Moon week- our last Full Moon of 2020 - which means some big energies. We will also be kicking off a whole new year as we welcome in 2021. The year ahead promises to bring major shifts and even more powerful energies, so get ready!
Waxing Gibbous Moon in Gemini
On Monday, the Waxing Gibbous Moon will be in Gemini all day. This will be a good time for getting together with friends and family for some intellectual chats or fun games. It will give you a great chance to pursue mentally stimulating activities such as starting to map out your plans for 2021.
Grab your planner and think about what you want to achieve in the next 6 months, and in what ways you can balance all the different aspects of your life. What are your big projects that you want to commit to in 2021? How will you make these happen?
Harness the Waxing Gibbous Moon now to keep momentum moving forward. Use positive affirmations or start thinking of your word for the year for 2021 to help guide you in the last week of the year. Add Lemon Myrtle, Rosemary and Lime to your diffuser for clarity of thought while staying engaged and positive.
Void-of-course Moon
On Tuesday it’s a Void-of-Course Moon from 1:01pm to 8:25pm, so take it easy and don’t do tasks that require too much mental activity in the afternoon and evening. Then the Moon will be in sensitive and nurturing Cancer. The key word for Tuesday is nourishment-spend the day practicing self-care that can support you emotionally as you prepare for the Full Moon on Wednesday. Eat comfort foods to share with your loved ones, relax, take an afternoon nap or get creative on some art projects or whatever “getting creative” looks like for you. Spending time in your home with close family and friends will also feel good on this Cancer Moon. Do some aromatic dressing with Aromatouch or diffuse Vetiver to help to feel relaxed and centered.
Full Moon in Cancer
On Wednesday there is the Full Moon in Cancer which will be exact a 1:28pm. The spotlight with this Moon will be on our feelings of safety and security across all arts of our life. Grab your My Unstoppable Life Journal and do some journaling alongside your Full Moon Mapping. How can you make sure your emotional, financial and physical security is prioritised and what can you change to ensure you have this sense of safety in your home life and relationships?
Full Moons are always are time to release, and with this Full Moon being in Cancer, the sensitive, emotional and nurturing sign of the zodiac, we should focus on the emotions we want to release so that we can let go of the negativity and prepare mentally and emotionally for the big things that are happening astrologically in January 2021.
On this Full Moon we will be preparing for the new year, and it brings the perfect opportunity to do a release ritual where you can let go of all the emotional baggage of 2020 and to surrender and trust in the new year that awaits us.
Make a list of everything you want to let go of from this year so that it doesn’t hold you back as you embark on 2021. Also do a gratitude list for 2020 to make a note of all the good things you have done, learned and accomplished. There will likely be quite a few painful memories and the emotions that you should let go of on this Full Moon so that you can start 2021 with a clean emotional slate.
Past Tense would be a great oil blend to apply to support your releasing of 2020 an any lingering stress or tension and bring more balance to the body and nervous system, especially if there are some big emotions and hurts coming to the surface.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Leo
New Year’s Day on Friday sees the Waning Moon move into Leo which is perfect for embracing fun, generosity and laughter. I always like to think of the way that I spend New Year’s Day sets the scene for the whole year ahead. How do you want to feel in 2021 and how can you encapsulate those feelings and thoughts on Friday in what you do and who you spend time with?
New Year’s Day is also great for doing a Year Ahead card spread, and to do some journaling to close out the past year. How prepared do you feel for 2021? In your journal, reflect on the year that was 2020 with all its many ups and downs. Note that you have grown so much and learned despite the challenges and prepare yourself mentally for 2021. Make list of what you want to being into your life in 2021. Green Mandarin is a beautiful oil to work with for harnessing the pure potential that lays ahead.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Virgo
On Sunday the Waning Gibbous Moon will be Void of Course from 8am until 11:12am and then it will be in the sign of organised and detailed Virgo. A Waning Gibbous Moon is perfect for de-cluttering with the support of Virgo Moon with all its practicality. This will help to stop things from getting over-complicated and to make space physically as well as mentally for the rest of this lunar cycle. Use the essential oil Cypress as a way to trust in the flow of life and for support of the heart and mind so that you can clear any stagnation an allow things to flow.
