Lunar Energy and Mood Forecast

Week Commencing June 8, 2020

Wow, what an intense few weeks we have had. I send out so much love to everyone who is feeling pain and grief right now. The Age of Aquarius really is upon us as we go through a necessary collective transformation. First our lives were disrupted by the pandemic and then humanity was forced to see and hear loudly the social inequities and imbalances which has now led us to react as a global society. There has been so much momentum as old paradigms are being broken down and now we need to take more of a slow burn approach so that we can stay focused, positive and determined to stay on track and so that we don’t give upon our dreams.

If you thought that these astro-energies have been pretty wild, then hold on tightly, as things aren’t looking to let up any time soon with the continuation of retrograde season and the height of eclipse season now upon us.

The good news is that now the moon is in its waning phase of the cycle. This means we can start slowing down, restoring our energy, going more with the flow. Whilst we are doing all that lower-key activity, it provides a good chance to reflect too, and we might be called to dive deep into our values and to identify what it is we really want and truly believe in.

When the moon is waning, it is generally not a good time to start new projects but to instead keep working away on the irons already in the fire. Finish working on the tasks you began with the new moon and take time to process everything that has been going on.

We should find it easier to identify what is truly important to us and to see how everything is connected and is part of the process of transformation. If you are feeling the heaviness of life right now, it’s a sign that you need to practice self-care more than ever.

Move you body, fill it with nourishing food, spend time outdoors in nature, focus on your spiritual practice and let the moon guide you. Pay attention to where things feel good in your body and when they seem off. And while we are still in Gemini season and with so much happening in the areas of learning and communication, be careful with what you are reading, absorbing, and learning and make sure that you are being critical about what is real and true and what’s not.

Waning Gibbous Moon in Capricorn

The week starts with the moon in Capricorn in the waning gibbous phase, which is a fitting sign for starting a new week. When we harness the steadfast and focused energy that Capricorn brings us we will have the energy to keep up the momentum of the past week. Look at your goals for the week and work towards them in a  logical way. Be sure to also harness the more easeful waning moon energies. With all the Gemini Sun thinking energy that’s been happening, it could be helpful to practice being mindful by sitting in silence for 10 minutes and use all your senses to notice what is going on around you.

Void of Course Moon | Waning Gibbous in Aquarius

On Tuesday the moon shifts sign into Aquarius in the morning with a long Void of Course Moon period from early to mid-morning. A VOC is the period of time after the Moon transits from one sign and before it enters a new sign. When there are long VOC periods, stick to chilling out and definitely don’t make big decision or start new projects during that time.

When we have a VOC it’s a nice time to relax and take some time to journal, enjoy some herbal teas or even have a waning moon bath with some Epsom salts and essential oils.

Waning Moon Bath

6 drops Helichrysum

6 drops Peppermint

5 drops Rosemary

Mix into 1 cup Epsom Salt

Add 1/4cup of moon salts to your bath in the waning moon.

The rebellious and humanitarian Aquarius moon energy on Wednesday and Thursday might see us thinking in unconventional ways or doing things that are outside the box. We may be drawn to use technology as a way to protest in the BLM movement, or you might feel the need to interact with your friends or get out onto the streets to rally. The days certainly won’t be boring! Focus on your your passion and purpose self-care pillar. Use Passion Touch to really help embrace this energy.

Waning Gibbous Moon in Pisces

On Friday the moon moves into the watery sign of Pisces and on Saturday the moon will be in its third quarter phase. Our relationships will be in the spotlight, so practice self-care in your communications with loved ones- keep clear boundaries in place if need-be to ensure the quality of your conversations upheld and also be aware of authenticity in your communications too.

Third Quarter Moon in Pisces

If you haven’t yet felt it by Friday, then the third quarter moon will really force you to slow down, release and find balance between the intense energies. Coupled with the moon in the intuitive sign of Pisces, we will likely want to get creative and connect with our dreams & intuition. Finish up the projects you have begun and get creative if you need to so you can finalise everything before the new moon. It would be good to get out your journal and to reflect. It could be a good time to re-do your vision board whilst also taking time out to rest and relax your mind and body. I’d recommend using an oil blend such as Console Touch to feel comfort during this potentially emotional time.

Third Quarter Moon in Aries

On Sunday the moon moves into fiery Aries. You might feel more energised and impatient, so use the enhanced energy that comes with an Aries moon to really do some more active movement or sport as a form of active relaxation.
