Lunar Energy and Mood Forecast

Week Commencing 11 January, 2021

It’s a New Moon week which means that we can expect there to be some big energies, and this New Moon is going to be super-powered by Pluto which will be conjunct both the Moon and the Sun. There might also be some tension after the New Moon with Mars, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn all square in Aquarius but the good news is that we have a LOT of long void-of-course Moons this week too, giving us down-time to prepare for and then to integrate our New Moon intention-setting.

Void Moon

Monday kicks off with the Moon void-of-course all day from 4:30am until 11:30pm Australian Eastern Standard time. This long 19 hours of offline lunar time gives us a chance to start getting into a Dark Moon mindset. A void-of-course Moon time is not recommended for making big decisions, having important meetings, finalising contracts or starting anything new.

nstead, think of a Void Moon period as one to rest, meditate, journal, brainstorm, have interactions with people you’re close to where there isn’t an important agenda, and to do things that are quite menial such as cleaning or de-cluttering. If you aren’t feeling it on Monday then blame it on the Moon and accept your lunar permission slip to take it easy. I’d recommend using some calming and centering oils today such as Balance, Lavender Peace or Adaptiv.

Dark Moon

On Tuesday is the Dark Moon, this is when the Moon is completely dark from our earthly viewpoint because the Moon is directly between the Earth and the Sun. So continue what you were doing on Monday and prepare for the New Moon.

Do some journaling to reflect on the previous lunar cycle and note what you achieved, learned and how you felt emotionally during the previous month, and then begin to think about what you will set as your intentions on the New Moon. You might be called to do some creative work while the Moon is dark but also try to relax and take time to go inward if you can at some point on Tuesday. Getting outside and spending time in nature if possible will also be really nourishing. Use the oil bend Balance to stay grounded and calm.

New Moon in Capricorn

The New Moon in ambitious and hard-working Capricorn takes place at 3pm AEST on Wednesday. As with all New Moons, this is when you should set out your intentions, yet this Moon is particularly important due to it being at the start of the new year  and also influenced  by conjunctions of other planets which will be wielding their astro influence.

Really think hard about your goals and harness the Capricorn energy to map out exactly how you want your 2021 to look, feel and be like, and what it is that you want to be, do and have to make this an amazing year ahead.

Think about the big transformations, as well as practical goals that you want to have and with Venus, the Planet of love, money and values also in Capricorn at this time, consider what you want from your relationships, money and abundance, and what it is that is most important to you, so that you can start to incorporate these things into your life this year. Make sure your plans are aligned with your values and consider your word of the year of you have one in your New Moon Mapping. Use your My Unstoppable  Life Journal and do a tarot or oracle card spread to help you with your intention setting practices.

There is no better tome that on this New Moon to really put your energy into solidifying your plans for 2021. Don’t forget to also think about your lunar self-care practices and how you will make time for yourself to nourish your needs, while at the same time, also considering how you will contribute towards the bigger collective and Planet Earth- a theme that will be prominent this year ahead.

I would recommend making a vision board of your New Moon intentions in the days following this new Moon to really help you to make your intentions easier to visualise and even more powerful. My New Moon in Capricorn oil diffuser blend recommendation is Rosemary for mental clarity, Vetiver for staying grounded and present, Litsea for feeling inspired, aligned and open to possibilities and Lime for balancing the heart and mind and to bring joy and determination.

We will be setting intentions during the New Moon Circle as part of the Moon Membership on Thursday- if you want to be a part of it then be sure to join before Wednesday. Super-charge your lunar self-care practices and start harnessing the energy of the Moon by leading a lunar-led life with the support from the Moon Membership.

Waxing Crescent Moon in Aquarius

On Thursday the Waxing Crescent Moon will be in quirky and humanitarian Aquarius. As the Moon starts its waxing phase of the cycle, it’s a time to start planting the seeds of those intentions. Aquarius is very social and loves to connect with others, so this would be a good time to meet with like-minded friends or to do some volunteer or charity work or put your energy towards a cause that is important to you.

Aquarius rules our circulatory system so it is important to keep stress levels down- meditation or breathwork such as the 4-7-8 breath technique would be good to do on Thursday along with dry body brushing which is also great for keeping circulation flowing. The essential oil blend Past Tense could be useful as well for grounding and relaxing.

Very Long Void Moon

From 7:29pm on Thursday until 8:17am on SATURDAY the Moon will have another void-of-course period-that’s over 36 hours of offline lunar time! This gives you plenty of time to integrate, continue your planning, and to rest and take it easy. Really don’t try and START any of those new things until the weekend because it will only feel like a struggle and it’s likely they won’t work out the way you want.

Waxing Crescent Moon in Pisces

For the weekend, the Waxing Crescent Moon will be in intuitive Pisces. Harness the Waxing Moon increase in energy and if you’re feeling ready to start bringing your intentions to life and to take action on any insights then go for it! Make a list of practical steps to bringing your goals to the forefront and start working on these every day. The Pisces Moon might have you feeling a little bit dreamy or to have stronger emotions than normal, so stay grounded with some earthing.

Pisces rules the feet so you could go and get a pedicure or soak your feet in the ocean. You might also feel a creative urge over the weekend so feel free to get painting, musical or to do creative writing. Tap into the intuitive energies of Pisces and work with tarot or oracle cards too. Use the essential oil Clary Sage or the blend Clary Calm to further support the lunar energies by helping you to tap into your intuition and open up any creative blocks.

Join us in the Moon Membership for more detailed lunar energy and mood forecasts and lunar self-care tips, as well join in New and Full Moon circles each lunar month. Our next New Moon circle is on January 14, 2021.
