Lunar Mood & Energy Forecast
Week Commencing March 9th, 2020
Whenever there is a full moon, it always feels like a big week energetically, and this week is definitely the case as we start this week with a super full moon in Virgo.
Full Moon in Virgo
I personally love when the moon is in Virgo- I love the earthiness and efficiency that the super organised sign brings to our lives. It forces us to look at the details and to really analyse how we are doing things in our life, where we can have more order, and what choices we have been making that are not in the best interests of our health particularly, so that we can re-evaluate and change course.
With this full moon in Virgo, we can let go on any negative patterns and work out new, more practical systems and ways of doing things. This is particularly the case with our well-being- what unhealthy habits are not serving you, what can you clear away on the full moon so that you can have the space energetically and physically for new, positive habits. Now would be a great time to do a detox or create a new morning or evening routine to support your health.
You might also want to look at where can you have clearer boundaries with yourself and how you spend your time. How can you honour all your commitments and maintain healthy boundaries with yourself and be aligned in the ways that you interact with others? Where can you invest more time or where do you need to step back a little to give yourself more time for self-nourishment?
Virgo can highlight perfectionist traits, so be mindful that you are not being too harsh on yourself in trying to aim for impossible perfectionism. Harness the Virgo goddess energy to embrace all parts of you, including your flaws, and know you are worthy of all that you desire. Virgo likes us taking action, so I highly recommend de-cluttering and also grounding yourself in nature as a way to manage the intense energies on this full moon, so you can be in a good space to follow-through on your new Virgo inspired plans.
In the virtual full moon circle I will hold on Tuesday we will do a releasing ceremony as well as do an energy activation ritual to really harness this Virgo energy in a positive way. Hope you can join us!
Waning Gibbous Moon
After the full moon the moon will be in its waning phase for the next two weeks, and we will likely feel our energy levels receding. We might feel particularly low energy this week due still being in the Pisces sun season and feeling the after-effects of Mercury retrograde (the full moon also marks the time when Mercury stations direct again- yippee!- but we might feel a bit of a Mercury Rx “hangover” for a few more days).
The waning gibbous phase is a good time for practicing gratitude- look back at all you have accomplished in the weeks leading up to this time and use this opportunity to reflect on what’s is going well and to change course if need-be. It’s also the time to tidy up your loose-ends and finish up the more menial tasks that you have on your to-do list.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Libra
The moon will be in harmonious and -peace-loving Libra on Wednesday and Thursday, so look at how you can have more harmony in your work and personal life, especially in your self-care pillar of relationships.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Scorpio
When the moon moves into broody and moody Scorpio for the later part of the week you may want to focus on your spiritual practice during this time because we can be more intuitive on a Scorpio moon and there could be some insightful intuitive hits come your way while you meditate or journal.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius
Over the weekend the moon will be in open-minded and truth-seeking Sagittarius. Even though we will have waning energy along with the receding moon, we might feel uplifted with the Sagittarian influence. So spend time over the weekend to finalise everything and to also bring a bit of fun and indulgence into your life too!
