Week Commencing May 11, 2020
How was your full moon last week? I always feel a bit of a lunar hangover after the full moon! It was nice to have the waning gibbous moon in Sagittarius for most of the weekend. The moon changed signs into organised and focused Capricorn late on Sunday. This is a good vibe for starting a new week. While we might feel our energy levels start to recede, we should be able to harness the discipline from Capricorn to plan out very clear goals for taking action on in the week ahead.
The moon will then move into the sign of Aquarius later on Tuesday when it will also connect with the planet Mars. This will bring us another burst of energy in a phase when we usually feel more like doing the more mundane tasks on our schedule and de-cluttering our space.
On Thursday we will notice a half moon in the sky as the moon moves into it’s third quarter phase. As it continues to wane, this time is for slowing down and aiming for more balance in your life. Aquarius is the humanitarian and rebellious rule-breaker of the zodiac and with the moon in Aquarius combined with a Saturn retrograde in Aquarius, we could feel the need to shake things up. We might feel more restless than ever and desire our freedom even more whilst in lockdown, so grab your journal to write it out or connect with friends online if need-be.
If you were working with some of your shadows and fears on the Full moon, these may resurface, so take this time to continue with this work and to let go of what you need to release in order to push your boundaries, move out of your comfort zone and allow change to happen where it needs to in order for you to transform.
This is a perfect time for doing a de-clutter of your physical space while also looking at how you could do things in a new way or from a fresh perspective in order to improve on the way you are doing things in your work and home life.
In these powerful few days that the moon is in Aquarius, it can be helpful to do a digital detox or to minimise your time spent on technology. Use the time away from your screen to brainstorm and do some visioning on how you would like your future to look like post COVID-19 so you can go about creating that new future for yourself. Also don’t forget to spend time outside if you can and get grounded by putting your bare feet on the Earth.
I can help you with getting clarity in your vision in my new offering, Life Visioning Astrology Sessions.
By the weekend the moon will be in the waning crescent phase in the sign of watery Pisces. Expect to feel like going slow and spend time over the weekend pursuing your creative interests. It will be a great time to do things that make you feel energised- listen to your favourite music on loud and have a boogie in the living room, or watch some shows on Netflix that will make you feel good and uplifted.
On Sunday the moon will move into action-oriented Aries. Ease yourself into this new energy and be on the lookout for situations that might get your fired-up or where you could become easily impatient or hot-headed. If there are things you can do physically to release some of the wound-up energy of Aries, such as going for a run, this would be helpful on Sunday. It will also be a good time to focus on your self-management self-care pillar and set-out to make clear plans for your week ahead.
