Week Commencing November 30, 2020
*all dates and times are in AEST
It’s a pretty exciting start to what is looking to be a really positive week ahead, with the Full Moon in Gemini and a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. It will be exact at 7:29pm tonight and will be the first of the seasonal eclipses that will be happening in December.
Full Moon in Gemini and Penumbral Eclipse
A penumbral eclipse is when the outer shadow of the Earth blocks some sun and causes shadowing on the Moon. An eclipse makes the usual release work that we do on the Full Moon even more important. Today, focus on letting go of your doubts, fears, insecurities, and any issues you have with communication.
Eclipses can often mark the end of a cycle or mark the beginning of a new phase, and this Gemini Full Moon closes out the cycle that began with the May Gemini New Moon. Are there things you have learned or where you have grown since May? Also pay attention to what areas if your life are in the spotlight right now and use the eclipse as a chance to let go and make changes in order to open up new opportunities.
You might also find that this Gemini Moon will make you more aware of your inner truth and desires and you might be compelled to express these as a way to release them. You might find that your emotions generally are even more heightened on this Full Moon due to the eclipse, so be forgiving and compassionate to yourself and others and practice extreme self-care. Be sure to do your Full Moon Mapping in your My Unstoppable Life Journal and take time to do free-journaling to see what does come up for you with the eclipse energy.
I recommend using essential oils such as Peppermint, Cyprus, and Chamomile as a way to help keep your throat chakra balanced which in turn will help with effective communication and expression during this time.
Void-of-course Moon
On Tuesday there is a long void-of-course Moon from 2:22pm until Wednesday 1:32pm. Whenever the Moon is void-of-course, it means the Moon is transiting between signs and is not being influenced by any sign’s energy. For us means the Moon is not influencing our emotions in a specific way, it’s like a blank slate. During this transition period, we can find it hard to make decisions and to move forward on things we are working on. When we have a long VoC, it is the perfect opportunity to take a break and this is especially good if you are feeling a bit if a Full Moon “hangover” (as I often will feel after the intensity of the Full Moon!).
You can liken the Void-of-course period to being offline mentally and emotionally, so consciously avoid starting new things or doing anything that requires emotional intention. Don’t do things that require too much mental work- this is a great time to do your housework or laundry- menial tasks that don’t require a lot of thought, emotional energy or decision making. Don’t have any deep and meaningful conversations, or important meetings until the Moon is stationed in a sign again. I would recommend doing as little as possible, or go for a long walk, do some yoga or go get a massage until the Moon is back “online” on Wednesday afternoon in its ruling sign of Cancer.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Cancer
The Waning Gibbous Moon insensitive and nurturing Cancer on Wednesday might have us feeling a bit more emotional than usual, so keep up the self-care and really focus on nurturing yourself emotionally .You might feel like spending time at home- do a bit of a de-clutter and make your living space cosy and comfortable.
With Cancer being a water sign, you might find it comforting to spend time in or around water- bathe in the ocean or go for a swim at the pool and be sure to drink plenty of water. Also do anything that will keep your grounded, and use the essential oil Ice Blue to feel really soothed physically and emotionally.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Leo
On Saturday, the Waning Gibbous Moon will be in charismatic Leo. As Leo rules the heart and is also known for its generosity, it would be good over the weekend to get social and show your friends and family how much you appreciate them. Shower your people with fun, creativity and joy and celebrate your inner child by getting out and playing and being spontaneous.
On the Waning Gibbous Moon it’s good to be grateful and to celebrate life, so allow yourself to be guided by with the keywords for today’s Moon energy- fun, social, ambitious and productive. Use Citrus Bliss, Cheer or Elevation blends to help harness the playful, uplifted and cheerful vibes.
Void-of-course Moon
On Sunday the Moon will start another long VoC from around 8:20am until 5:44am on Monday morning. The same tips from before apply for Self-Care Sunday which is the ideal time to really chill. Use Lavender Peace blend to feel clam and Balance to get grounded to feel really relaxed.
Here is a summary of what to expect from the lunar energies this week so you can plan and prepare yourself emotionally and mentally.
