Week Commencing May 3, 2021
*all days and times are in AEST
It’s a new month, and what a month it is going to be with eclipse season happening, lucky planet Jupiter transiting into the sign of dreamy Pisces which will bring new fortunes our way, as well as our second Mercury Retrograde of the year happening in the sign of Gemini at the end of the month.
As for this week ahead, the Moon is waning which means that things will feel much calmer and slower, especially toward the end of the week as we approach the Dark Moon and the New Moon in Taurus. It’s looking to be a gentler week ahead with regards to the lunar energies and mood- let’s take a closer look.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Aquarius
At 5:30 on Monday, the waning Moon transited from disciplined Capricorn into unconventional Aquarius. While the energy of this phase is a time of slowing down and consolidation, the Aquarius mood can be quite social and you might want to have some intellectual conversations with like-minded friends where you set about changing the world together.
There can be a rule-breaker, freedom seeking vibe with an Aquarius Moon too, which comes with a need for free-thinking and standing up for what you most believe in. You can apply Frankincense or Neroli essential oils to help tap into these Aquarius Moon energies. Use this phase to finish up your tasks and to clear your physical and digital space.
Third Quarter Moon in Aquarius
The Moon will be in it’s Third Quarter phase on Tuesday, which can be a time when you might feel quite restless in wanting to bring intentions to completion- you might need to focus on making this happen. You should trust that it is possible, and surrender to what will be. Diffuse or apply Geranium essential oil to help if these feelings come up. You should finalise anything that is incomplete but not start on any new projects.
It’s a good time to do reflection and to make any necessary adjustments to your routine and to let go of what isn’t working for you in this phase. Use the Aquarian energy to read or study things that are quite progressive or which stimulate your inner visionary- but make a note of any new intentions and save them for the New Moon rather than getting going on them in this phase.
Void-of-Course Moon
On Wednesday the Moon will be Void from 10:05am until 12:08pm, so when planning out your week be sure to leave those couple of hours for doing more menial tasks in your business and work and avoid meetings or making big decisions. Apply Balance blend to help you to relax at this Void Moon time.
Waning Crescent Moon in Pisces
The Waning Crescent Moon will then be stationed inn emotional Pisces. You might find your intuition is heightened with the Moon here, which makes it a good time to do divination work if you like to use tarot or oracle cards for example. Pisces Moons are also great for tapping into your imagination and your creativity in however it is that you like to express this.
There could be feelings of lethargy and a general lack of focus from now until the New Moon, so make sure you get plenty of sleep-hep afternoon nap! Be aware that everyone will be feeling more sensitive than usual, and if you are empathic you should put some energetic boundaries in place to protect your emotional energy at this time. Using Lemon Eucalyptus – either diffuse, inhale or apply to the bottom of your feet- to help with these energetic boundaries. It’s good to get a pedicure reflexive foot massage or to bathe in the pecan or in a bath while the Moon is in Pisces where it will be until Friday night.
Waning Crescent Moon in Aries
There will be a Void Moon as it transits from Pisces into Aries from 5:36pm until 9:52pm on Friday. We will the have The Waning Crescent Moon in Aries for the whole weekend. This phase and sign combination might feel a bit unsettling. The energy of this phase is calling for us to slow down, while Aries is all about speed and action. You might feel quite impatient, and might have some new ideas that you want to take initiative on starting right away.
Even though you might feel more confident with the Aries mood, it’s best to focus on the intentions already place before tackling anything new until after the New Moon. Although, if you still have things you want to finalise, harness the Aries energy Moon to carry through on these plans. You may want to do some cardio to expend any excess energy and to channel any of you agitation you might be feeling on this Aries Moon. Neroli can also be great to apply to your heart, sacral chakra, throat or behind the ears to help stabilise restless feelings on this Moon.
