Week Commencing December 14, 2020
*days and times are in AEST
There is so much to share in this week’s forecast, with some of the most potent energies of the year! It really is going to be a magical week and after the craziness of 2020 is going to provide us with a chance to re-set, realign and make clear intentions for the lunation ahead.
Here is a quick summary of some of the astro weather before I dive deeper into what’s happening with the Moon specifically. This week there will be the Sagittarius New Moon AND a full solar eclipse, Saturn is transiting into Aquarius as well as Jupiter moving into Aquarius. There will be a grand Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Aquarius on the Summer Solstice which we can also plan for. A revolution is upon us, which means it’s very important to stay aware and grounded (especially if you have Sagittarius or Aquarius in significant placements in your natal chart).
Dark Moon
Now, looking at the lunar energies and mood, the Dark Moon on Monday calls for us to rest, restore and prepare for the New Moon and eclipse on Tuesday morning. It is a time for stillness (mentally and physically). You might like to cleanse your space of old stagnant energies to make way for the new energy- burn some sage or palo santo to purify the spaces where you spend a lot of time.
As Sagittarius rules the hips and thighs, you would find it beneficial to do the restorative legs up the wall exercise to help release tension or do a gentle yoga sequence focusing on thigh strength and hip opening asanas. Work with the essential oil blend Balance to assist in staying grounded.
Solar Eclipse and New Moon in Sagittarius
On Tuesday at 2:13am AEST there is first the Solar Eclipse. This means that the New Moon is between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow over Earth so where it is daylight (for places where it is daytime) it can appear like the day has become night for a few minutes.
Then a few minutes later at 2:16am AEST New Moon in Sagittarius will be exact. This is when the truth-seeking Sagittarius energy will be most powerful so set your intentions around ways that you can expand your knowledge and understanding of yourself and your part in the greater world. What do you really desire in order to feel expansive and abundant? Also look at where you can bring more fun and adventure into your life, even if that means stepping outside your usual comfort zone.
Plan for future travel, look at how you want the bigger picture of your life to be, look and feel like. In your business this is a great time to research and set big goals. Try to spend some time outdoors, take a long walk in nature if you can, and use that opportunity to connect with your authentic self, reflecting on what you aspire for, and do some deep contemplation so you can really connect with your big vision for your life. To help tap into your authentic truth, try this roller blend: Wild Orange, Spearmint, Pink Pepper and Black Pepper.
Make time to do a New Moon ritual on Tuesday, do your journaling and Moon Mapping in your My Unstoppable Life Journal and set your intentions. If you don’t get a chance to do your intention setting right away on the new Moon, I recommend waiting until after the Void-of-course that the Moon will be in from 2:17am until 2:37pm on Tuesday.
VoC Moons are not recommended times for starting new things or to work on things that you want to have happen (such as intention setting) and it is best to rest, relax and do menial tasks that don’t require too much thinking until the Moon stations into Capricorn.
If you would love to take part in a New Moon Circle to connect online with like-minded sisters to learn more about the energies of this Moon and Eclipse season, as well as meditate, journal and share together, then be sure to join the Moon Membership today before I close the doors for December.
Waxing Crescent Moon in Capricorn
On Wednesday the Waxing Crescent Moon is in Capricorn where it will be conjunct with Mercury. With the Moon in it’s Waxing Crescent Phase it’s a good time to focus on your business and career goals. This makes a good time to do your emails, communication, and other planning.
Don’t let the Capricorn Moon vibes let things get too serious. Look at where you can find more balance between your work commitments and your passion and purpose as well as how you can get your New Moon intentions happening. Apply a few drops of Patchouli to the soles of your feet or simply inhale to feel grounded and fluid as you do your work on Wednesday.
Aquarius Moon and Saturn Conjunction
Thursday afternoon is when the Moon moves into innovative and eccentric Aquarius, and will be joined by Saturn. Saturn takes 29 years to compete a full journey around the Sun, it is slow moving and represents boundaries and structures and teaches us about responsibility and how we can focus on these Saturnian qualities in our lives.
The last time Saturn was in Aquarius was in the 1960s, and it is going to stay here in Aquarius until 2023. As it is one of the outer planets that affects all of us here on Earth, this transit marks the start to a big collective energy shift that we will all feel. With Saturn in Aquarius (it’s old ruling planet) it brings a good chance for us to initiate changes and put plans into motion. This is when you can put those New Moon intentions from Tuesday into the forefront and get momentum happening.
Waxing Crescent Moon in Aquarius
All day on Friday the Waxing Crescent Moon will be in Aquarius. Whenever we have the Moon here, it is a good time to do humanitarian projects or to get involved with your community. If you are needing new ways of doing things to make positive changes, or to improve your home environment, this is the time to do those things to best harness the Aquarius Moon energies.
It can be easy to get caught up on the Airy Aquarian energy so do some earthing to stay grounded. Also using the essential oil Arborvitae- inhale or apply drops to the stomach and crown- can help you to get grounded, to relax and to surrender.
Aquarius Moon and Jupiter Conjunction
On Saturday, Jupiter joins Saturn in Aquarius. Jupiter is our biggest planet and represents growth and expansion and is known as the planet of luck and fortune. It rules Sagittarius and brings those optimistic energies.
With Jupiter moving into Aquarius where it will stay for the next year, we can expect a collective rise in our awareness and consciousness on a deeper level, to see things from the big-picture Aquarian viewpoint, and to find innovative ways of being able to make changes to how we do things as the whole human collective in order to find positive solutions.
Waxing Crescent Moon in Pisces
On Sunday the Moon moves into intuitive and dreamy Pisces. It will be a good chance to spend your Self-Care Sunday doing creative projects and taking time to do some journaling where you can visualise and tap into your intuition.
Spend time in nature to help you to stay grounded with the Moon in dreamy Pisces. Using Clary Sage- apply drops on the forehead and behind the ears- to help clear any creative blocks and enhance your ability to visualise on the possibilities and connect with your intuition.
Be sure to join the Moon Membership in time for the New Moon and be grandmothered in as a founding member at the introductory price!
