Week Commencing March 1, 2021
**Times and dates are in Australia Eastern Standard (AEST)
So here we are in March already! February felt like it flew by, and the Virgo Full Moon was the best way to close out the month. Was there any area of your life where you had any A-HAs particularly around structures and boundaries? Pisces Season continues this month and will continue to illuminate our spiritual side as we close out the astrological year feeling supported and in flow. There will be positive energy in the later part of the week with Mercury and Jupiter forming a lucky conjunction that could bring abundance and growth. The Moon has now entered its waning phase where it will be for the next two weeks, so it’s time to start to reflect and recharge, and with some gentler astrology transits and angles this week, it should mean that we will have chance to do just this. Let’s take a closer look at the moonology for this week.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Libra
From 6:20am this morning and for the next 2.5 days, we will have the Waning Gibbous Moon in balance and harmony-loving Libra. This is a good time to decorate your home to make it more beautiful, to go get a haircut or a facial to beautify yourself, to spend quality time with your friends or family members or build or redecorate your altar.
Those structures and boundaries you explored on the Full Moon would be good to focus on now too, especially if they will bring more freedom and balance to your life. With a Libra Moon you might find you feel a bit indecisive and could also avoid conflict so as to keep the peace. If you find it difficult to think clearly and to make decisions on the Libra Moon, try using Lemon Myrtle by inhaling it or make into a mist to spray in your space. It can help to promote clear thinking and attune to your own mind.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Scorpio
On Wednesday morning at 8:40am, the Moon will have completed its next transit and will be in intense and transformative Scorpio. When the Moon is in this deep sign, you might find you can get a bit obsessive, which can be good for focusing on tasks that need to get done and to get into creation mode. It’s also a good time to explore the metaphysical- so get out your journal, meditate and play with your tarot cards, pendulum and crystals.
Be wary of feelings of jealousy bubbling to the surface. Crack open your Frankincense to help with deepening your connection to the spiritual realm and to also help shield you energetically from negative influences that might affect your spiritual evolution if you are working in this realm on this Moon.
Void-of-course Moon
On Friday from 4:10am to 10:45am there is a long Void Moon period and it will then be stationed in adventurous and optimistic Sagittarius. While the Moon is Void it is best to use this time to rest, journal, take a walk in nature or tidy your space.
Waning Gibbous Moon in Sagittarius
Once the Waning Gibbous Moon is in Sagittarius you could focus on doing outdoor activities and spending time in nature. Sagittarius Moons put the spotlight on our freedom and also seeking the truth. Don’t let this desire lead to being tactless in your interactions. If the desire for freedom feels strong, be careful not to do anything reckless to meet that desire- try going on a local adventure, spend time in nature or learn something new.
This is a good Moon to reach out to new clients or to share your new, big ideas to your community so you can help to expand their horizons. Use the oil blend Elevation to harness this positive flow state- apply a few drops to your forehead, behind your ears or over your heart.
Third Quarter Moon in Sagittarius
There’s a few interesting cosmic weather events on Saturday, with the Moon entering its Third Quarter phase. This is a good time to reassess and review and release what is no longer serving, and could bring a shift in physical energy. It’s usually around this phase of the cycle that I feel the need to slow right down with the receding of energy that happens in this stage of the Moon cycle.
The Sun will also square the North Node on Saturday which would be a good opportunity to step out of your comfort zone so you can step into the direction of your dreams.
Waning Crescent Moon in Capricorn
From 9:45pm until 2:20pm on Sunday the Moon will enter another long Void Moon. It will then be stationed in determined and reliable Capricorn. There might be a noticeable shift in energy where things feel a bit more serious with a desire to focus on strategy.
Don’t let Capricorn’s workaholic tendencies take over but also harness the need to be productive and to take action by working on your schedule being sure to balance that out with some fun, relaxing activities to lighten the mood. It will be Self-Care Sunday after all, so letting go of the need to control everything to the T and to take some time out to dream and visualise will be really helpful. Whip out your Past Tense to help your body to feel calm and relaxed and to bring more balance when you feel fatigued or over-worked.
